이번에 제가 발표할 논문은 올해 Nature communication에 개재된
Super-resolution imaging reveals the evolution of higher-order chromatin folding in early carcinogenesis 라는 제목의 논문입니다. (https://www.nature.com/articles/s41467-020-15718-7#Abs1)

Fixed tissue sample에서 heterochromatin을 super resolution fluorescence microscopy를 이용하여 관찰한 논문입니다. 암의 경우 핵의 모양, Chromatin의 packaging 등이 달라짐이 그동안 보고되어왔는데, Conventional optical microscope의 resolution한계로 인하여 이러한 Chromatin의  folding을 잘 관찰할 수 없었습니다.

그런데 이 논문에서는 쥐의 조직을 이용해 암 발생이 진행됨에 따라 Chromatin의 Folding 정도가 어떻게 변화하는지 super resolution fluorescence microscopy를 통해 관찰하였습니다. 암 발생 과정에서 chromatin의 folding 경향이 변화하는 현상 자체도 흥미롭고, Tissue sample 에서 super-resolution imaging을 시행할 때 참고할만한 논문이라 생각합니다.
